These sweet, heart shaped Strawberry Cream Cheese Danishes make the cutest, special treat for loved ones! Each heart pastry has a light, whipped cream cheese filling sweetened with maple syrup and topped with bursts of fresh strawberry flavor. A perfect quick, simple and beautiful treat!
Thaw frozen puff pastry in fridge. Keep puff pastry in fridge until ready to use.
Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll thawed puff pastry onto parchment lined baking sheet. Use cookie cutter or a knife to cut into shape of choice.
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, maple syrup, and vanilla. Whip the ingredients together with a hand held or stand mixer for lighter, whipped texture. Spread a spoonful in the center of each cut pastry, leaving a border of puff pastry around the outer edge.
Dice strawberries and place them on top of cream cheese mixture of each danish.
Bake at 400°F for 15-18 minutes, until golden on the edges.
