If you’re curious about the adrenal cocktail and are wondering why I started drinking one daily, hang around and read this post! Maybe, just maybe I will convince you to give it a whirl.

What is an adrenal cocktail?

To oversimplify it, the adrenal cocktail is a stress mitigator & mineral replenisher. The adrenal cocktail is designed to support the adrenal glands which are small, triangular shaped organs that sit right on top of our kidneys. They produce hormones that regulate many important bodily functions including blood pressure, metabolism, and our body’s response to stress.

So many people are running on low energy, stress and fatigue these days. There’s a lot of factors to blame, but one super common and overlooked root cause of these symptoms is under-mineralization. The adrenal glands need support and proper mineralization to function properly, and symptoms such as fatigue and stress are signals someone is in desperate need of remineralization. The good news is, this is something we can control! We can increase and adjust our mineral consumption in super simple ways. Queue the adrenal cocktail – a 3 ingredient drink that mitigates stress & replenishes your minerals, stabilizing your adrenal glands for the day. Why I drink an adrenal cocktail daily

I was introduced to the adrenal cocktail through functional health and medicine. The functional medicine approach digs for the root cause of a patient’s symptoms first, rather than going straight to pharmaceutical treatment. The root cause approach addresses symptoms as red flags waving and directing us to the underlying issue that is begging to be addressed and fixed. This method of searching for the root cause of symptoms and illness rather than putting a bandaid on the situation has changed my perspective on wellness.

I was fortunate enough to experience this functional medicine approach in my early twenties during my second job as a PA. I learned so much about our body’s most basic needs that are often overlooked. My exposure to this path of wellness lead to many habitual changes in my family’s lifestyle.

Mineralization is one of many fundamental, yet often overlooked needs of our human physiology. Mineralization is a major topic in the world of function health and wellness – thanks to Morley Robbins, who uncovered many of the essential roles and effects mineralization has in our bodies. He even created the foundation of the adrenal cocktail I’m sharing with you today!

The importance of minerals for our whole body health, especially our adrenal glands cannot be understated. Since implementing more minerals into my daily food intake and incorporating a daily afternoon adrenal cocktail, my energy has stabilized throughout the day and I no longer feel the slumps of running on little to nothing. (High protein intake has played a role in this too.)

This little drink is such a simple addition to my day that it’s become a daily habit and something I look forward to. Plus, it’s fun to serve it up in nice glass and take a few minutes to reset for the afternoon.

  1. Taylor I love this! Jeff and I made this one day and loved it. The next day I decided I hated seeing all the pulp go to waste so I literally threw the whole (peeled) orange + coconut water + salt+ some crushed ice in the magic bullet- It was amazing! I have been taking it to school and drinking it after lunch- Thank you so much for all your great ideas!

    1. Oh my goodness this makes me so happy!! So glad you loved it and Shelley, you are genius to jus throw the entire thing in the blender!!! I’m going to try it this week because I make these almost daily and I too hate seeing that pulp and peel go to waste especially since we haven’t been keeping compost bin but I plan to start this summer for all our scraps!
